“The History of Art” is a audio / visual piece by me and composer and musician Emil Sylvester Jakobsen created for the American podcast The 16oz. Canvas. The piece interprets art history as being a highly subjective matter. In “The History of Art” the progression of events is observed through the eyes of a designer who had been growing up in the Danish welfare state and has been influenced by western modernism, post punk and science. The piece is a personal account of how meaning is formed thought understanding and maybe even misinterpretation of history. Does history lead to certain predictable outcomes and is those outcomes universally accepted? Turn on your speakers or put on your headphones and follow the link in bio.
