Architectural Observations consists of my photographs depicting the build and natural environment. It is an ongoing series of architecture and landscape images being constantly edited and updated. I am particularly interested in generic spaces, environments and structures. The places that could be anywhere, the places that doesn’t tell an exciting story, the generic parking lot, the generic mountain, the generic building or the generic abandon factory. The places that is often forgotten and overlooked for not being spectacular, unique or designed by a star architect. I try to break down any local narrative by displaying the photos together with other photos originating from a completely different context and location. I focus on the formal qualities of the subjects and create relations between the photos that is not necessarily apparent in the three dimensional world. A new and personal narrative is formed which aims at highlighting the hidden qualities of these neglected and overlooked places.
